Genesis
Le GREPI Groupe de Recherche et d’Etudes du Processus Inflammatoire a été créé comme une entité indépendante « Equipe Associée » avec trois tutelles :
L’université Joseph Fourrier (UJF),
l’Etablissement Français du Sang (EFS)
et le Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Grenoble (CHU)
Founded in 1991 by Pr Françoise Morel, and formerly located close to the “laboratoire d’enzymologie” of the Michallon Hospital, the GREPI moved to a new local in EFS (Etablissement Français du Sang) in 2013.
The GREPI group was previously part of the TIMC laboratory (UMR 5525). In 2011, it becomes part of the spin off AGIM as the FRE 3405 CNRS.
In august 2014, UJF and CNRS jointly decided the closing of AGIM unit (FRE 3405) at the end of 2014. UJF proposed to set up a new “Equipe Associée” together with EFS and the Grenoble CHU. By the end of October 2014, a proposal has been submitted to University, EFS and CHU, and CNRS. To date, CNRS, through the Institute INSIS decided to keep one of the CNRS researchers affected to the GREPI. In the same time, EFS agreed in funding GREPI, mainly located in the EFS building.
